Virtual Adoption
Become a virtual adopter
Landlord doesn’t allow pets or you already have several of your own? You can still help out by virtually adopting a Love A Cat Charity cat! For $5.00 a month you become a cat’s sponsor, ensuring it’s health, safety and comfort, while we provide the daily love and care.
Virtual adopters are welcome to call or email anytime for information on how their adopted cat is doing. In addition, we hold an Adopters’ Open House during the summer, where virtual adopters can visit, pet and get to know their sponsored cat.
Sponsor one or as many as you want! And, if a cat you sponsor is lucky enough to find a new home, your sponsorship can be transferred to any other cat of your choice.
Andrea Bocelli
Andrea Bocelli was found by one of the vets we value. She removed a nonoperational eye but left the remaining one thinking he MIGHT be able to see a little light through it??? Andrea is really, really brave. He has tried out all the upper and lower spaces, always managing to find a way to get back to the counter where he eats.
Ann
Ann and her brother Dan were older kittens who were found by a cat lover. Pretty Ann is fearful of humans but loves other kitties. She is a healthy and sturdy girl who can be found taking naps on the cat tree.
Callie Mama
Callie Mama came to us as a pregnant feral and had her babies, who were all adopted to wonderful indoor homes. Callie is a VERY small cat who peacefully lives in our cat-fenced-in backyard. She is happy to sit in the shade of Popoki Hale out days and just enjoy her carefree life.
Chadwick
CHADWICK was brought to us by a couple who were out for a walk and found an older blind kitten who was in the middle of a seizure. Chadwick was brought to us and the frequent seizures continued. Turns out his hearing is not good either. His mother may have had Panleukopenia when pregnant OR some other life changing disease. The vet recommended special daily medication to help him live as normally as possible without his seizures. The meds increase as he grows. Sadly he is not popular in the space where he lives because his idea of “play with me” is a nip on the butt. YIKES!
Chrissy II
This beautiful cat was brought to us from a nearby mall by the caretakers there. She had an infection and was unable to heal in the colony. She has since healed and plays in our kitchen with her best friend, Plumeria.
Dior
Dior is from a litter of three that was turned into a vet for help because they were found with no mama. Pretty Dior is mild mannered and one of the sweetest cats at Love A Cat Charity. She loves people without being pushy.
Fat Boy
“Please sit with me Mama!” Fat Boy, aka Sterling, says every time Sara goes outside. Of course it’s a great excuse to take a break.😻 Fat Boy purrs and rolls over on her lap to have his tummy rubbed. Bad news – he only does this for Sara. Good News (for Sara) – he only does this for Sara.
Flora
Flora is a sweet and curious gal who came to us as a small kitten after someone saw a mongoose attacking her and saved her. She is somewhat grouchy with other kitties at first because she wants EXACTLY what she wants and sometimes others get in her way. She is a a real PEOPLE PERSON <3
Frankie B
Old blue eyes is an exceptionally feral boy who was taken in from another cat caretakers who took Frankie home to try to adopt him out – BUT Frankie never cooperated. So he lives in our cat-fenced-in backyard where he happily eats all he wants and runs gleefully from us if we get too close.
Gandalf
We found 15 year old Gandalf dumped in our feral colony near the airpot. He was fairly confused as we discovered (because of his microchip) that he had been abandoned there when his people moved. This magician is a sweet boy who loves all people he meets and gets along well with other kitties. Gandalf is SUCH a WINNER.
Garuda
Garuda’s mother may have had Panleukopenia when she was pregnant as we only know that this one survivor kitten was turned in to us AND he is what is known as a “bobble head.” His head constantly moves (slowly) from side to side as if he’s looking for something. His white fur shows a full grey tabby heart on one side and on the other side is a grey tabby broken heart. He has more control than most kitties with his condition (He walks well and can move in a direction) and he is curious and friendly. He has a little trouble cleaning himself so we brush his luxuriously thick fur for him. Garuda was adopted by a Navy lady who had an older “bobble head” but she was shipped out and the sister who was her back up had an unfortunate event and could not take Garuda.
Georgie
GEORGIE – Georgie comes from an ARC house (for differently abled adults) where we trap to fix kitties. Georgie was “approaching friendly” and it was felt that she might warm up enough to be adopted. This beautiful girl does love to follow you around and dance about when feeding is happening. Totally friendly, however, never happened for her. BUT Georgie is very happy and well liked by her kitty friends in our Cat-Fenced-In backyard. Here she is relaxing on the sidewalk (As you can see, eating is a priority).
Hazy
Hazy came to us as a tiny kitten and was raised lovingly in a foster home. He was returned 3 years later because of a rental problem. Hazy loves people and is learning to get along with our population. His “go to move” is Sniff and be ready to play. He would love to play with you and hopes to tempt you into petting his belly BUT if you do, be prepared for the attack that will come. (It was just a trick after all)
Ivan
Ivan is a (mixed) medium haired Flame Point Himalayan who has BEAUTIFUL sky blue eyes that you only get to see if you are in total darkness with Ivan, and then switch on the lights. Immediately his very deficient eyesight begins to adjust to the light and he can see a little bit. He lives in rooms where we try to never move the furniture; otherwise, Ivan runs into it. He loves to brushed and appreciated AND he loves to eat any paper he finds.
Jack
Jack’s mom was an unfriendly feral who was brought to Love A Cat Charity pregnant. As soon as Jack could see, he began making his way toward the humans, against his mom’s advice. He could never understand his mom’s fear of these nice people who hugged and fed him.
Lolly
Lolly was her foster mom’s favorite in this litter BUT the foster loved EARNING Lolly’s love! That dear, beautiful little face looks up at you with one question, “Can I trust you?” And you really, really want to say YES, don’t worry! Lolly is somewhat shy at first but you can feel her whole body relax when you pet her and she understands that you love her. You’ll have to work for it but this shy, calm little kitten WILL make you SO glad you did.
Mama Mary
Given to us with 4 babies your friends at ALOHA KITTY TNR, Mama Mary was a feral who trusted people, sort of. Once she raised her own 4 she nursed two other litters that came to us orphaned. SHE IS THE MOTHER OF THE YEAR, 2023. She ran out of milk with the last litter (So bottles were added) but oh my, she protected them, cleaned them and totally loved them. One kitten who was extremely malnourished and would have died without her.
Mariposa
Tiny and sick, Mariposa was trapped accidentally with her mom while helping a feeder say/neuter in the Kailua Quarry. Mariposa is now older and very healthy. Although quick movements and new people sometimes frighten her, she is exceptionally sweet when she gets to know you. She adores lap sitting.
Mazzie
Mazzie was found as a newborn kitten, alone in someone’s yard. She was fostered by Aurora, a feral who had four week old kittens. Mazzie has grown into a beautiful medium haired sweetheart with a fluffy tail and lovely Abyssinian fur. Her mild temperament makes her popular with other cats. She prefers to eat on a high spot.
Mickey D
Mickey D was born here at the Charity after his mother, an unfriendly feral, was brought here pregnant. Mickey D is one of the world’s mildest mannered cats. In his mind there is no reason to get upset or excited. He knows it will all turn out well. He relaxes every chance he gets and loves to snuggle with a human or another cat.
Nani
NANI – It is rare but sometimes even as a kitten an experienced Cat Person can tell that a cat will never become comfortable with humans. We call it “the feral gene” and little Nani has it. She was found under a house with her litter and no mother. What to do? Care for her litter and hope they’ll get used to people BUT if not, like NANI, the kitty can become a member of our “Cat-Fenced-In” backyard. She is safe, fixed, fed well and has lots of room to run around.
Panda
Panda came with his sister to live with us when his colony became too dangerous. He gets along well with the others in the cat-fenced-in backyard but is afraid of all people. This beautiful boy enjoys climbing the rock wall in back which leads to flower beds he can relax in.
Peekaboo
Born in our feral colony and fixed with her sister as an older kitten, Peekaboo had another problem. She had a large burn on her back that had left an open wound so she could not be released back to her kitty family after fixing. She needed long term care and she got it. She has healed nicely and is a relaxed and permanent member of LACC. Her beautiful coat is so soft and beautiful and Sara is so honored that Peekaboo allows her to gently pet that beautiful fur.
Plato
Plato is curious and slightly clumsy. He is often wet because he slips off the counter’s edge and falls into the water bowl (the same water bowl over and over again). It seems that Plato is not so wise. He is however, sweet and so soft. His beautiful coal black fur just shines from the good diet he eats.
Polly
We are one of the few charities that will accept pregnant feral cats and allow them to have their babies. Polly’s four babies are now very friendly AND she took little golden Treasure you see with her so that she too could have a mama. Polly is fixed and lives in our cat-fenced-in backyard.
Pretty Boy
Pretty Boy is a permanent resident (unadoptable) because of his severe stomatitis. At a very young age he began to lose teeth and an amazing donor paid for the rest of his teeth (except the canines) to be pulled so most of the pain could stop. Pretty Boy is a gentle, mild mannered boy who will climb in your lap if no one else is there. He loves pets (once he gets to know you) and gets along with all other kitties.
Puka
Puka was rescued by kind visitors from the mainland when they heard his cries after he’d fallen through a drain grating. They were able to find a rope and loop it around Puka to save his life. Puka loves people and purrs often but is afraid of being lifted up.
Pumpkin Cheesecake
PUMPKIN CHEESECAKE was a somewhat friendly feral who lived near a sawmill and a customer noticed that his eyes didn’t seem to work properly. That customer had fostered for LACC and asked if he could bring the kitty to us. Pumpkin Cheesecake had been born with his eyelashes turned inward, always scratching at his eyes. A generous donor and a skilled surgeon turned those eyelids around and now Pumpkin Cheesecake is all PURRS and NAPS.
Ranger Dave
Ranger Dave was trapped, to be neutered, in our colony but it turned out he was a super friendly fellow that someone no longer wanted (per the HHS). Friendly ones don’t do well in feral colonies so Ranger Dave came home to live in our cat-fenced-in back yard.
Seraphina
Seraphina
“Mother of the Year, 2017” overcame her fear of people to let one kind gentleman bring her (pregnant) to us. This gentleman knew she was escaping potential cruelty from a cat-hating neighbor who had killed previously. She had six beautiful babies who are healthy and strong.
Socrates
“Socs” is a sweety and the largest of a litter found behind a beauty salon in Pearl City. Socrates is “in charge” of the kitchen floor if anything is going on at the sink or stove. He stretches out to his full length and makes himself quite comfortable while everyone else has to walk around him.
Stella
Stella was the only girl in a litter of four. She was tiny when she, her siblings and her mother were brought to Love A Cat Charity. She was the “calm presence” with her brothers, who have been adopted. Stella is so loving with those who care to take the time.
Thelma
Thelma is a beautiful calico who is on the smaller side, but she loves her kibble and promises to fatten up as she ages. Her bird-like call of joy can often be heard if she thinks someone might pet her or pick her up.
Tulip
Tulip is a beautiful, slender, mostly white kitty. She was part of a litter of three that was found by a hospice nurse who heard crying coming from a dumpster. When she gave us the babies, the nurse explained that it wasn’t in her nature to ignore cries for help, so she jumped into the dumpster and rescued the kittens.
